Introduction

In accordance with the change of our society and times and the interest of students, the office promotes lifelong habits of exercise in order to help students enjoy exercising andy enriching their leisure time.

There are two section s under the Office each with a leader for assisting office affairs.

  • Teaching section: physical education teaching, service and planning.

  • Activity section: Impetus, planning students, faculty and staff sports activities and consult matters concerned the plans, maintenance, purchase and management of the sports locations/gym/equipment.

Objectives

  • Promoting athletic abilities and developing personal sports expertis.

  • Upgrading athletic skills to develop healthy bodies.

  • Promoting the importance of sports to cultivate lifelong habit of exercising.

  • Cultivating athletic ethics to promote social network harmony.

  • Experiencing the fun of exercises and enriching the quality of leisure time.

  • Strengthening knowledge in the sports field and establishing correct exercising concepts.

Curriculum Features

The courses design focuses on diversification, pleasure and application. In the junior level, courses are general physical courses; in the senior level, courses are instructed in small groups. Students can choose their own groups by interests. Current groups are basketball, volleyball, table tennis, badminton, tennis, swimming, ballroom dancing, aerobics, jazz dancing and taichi.
